“I always use these to pre-clean dishes before putting them in the dishwasher. The dishwasher manufacturers say you can put the dishes in the dishwasher as is, with food on them, and they will come out clean--they don't! It best to clean dishes right away, but otherwise soak them in water and then pre-clean for the dishwasher.”
